Football: Sundram resigns as LionsXII coach after 2 years in charge and winning MSL title
V. Sundramoorthy has quit as LionsXII coach after two seasons in charge of the Malaysian Super League (MSL) outfit.
Sources said that the 48-year-old met Football Association of Singapore (FAS) officials on Monday to inform them of his decision to turn down their offer of a new contract and sign with Malaysian Premier League side Negeri Sembilan.
The Straits Times understands that the FAS is scheduling a press conference either later today or tomorrow to announce the departure of the coach who led the LionsXII to this year's MSL league title
He is expected to take over at the Malaysian side on Nov 1. The team finished last in the 12-team MSL this year and will play in the second-tier Malaysian Premier League next season.
