Football: Spanish La Liga chief says 8 to 10 matches will be fixed
LONDON (AP) - The Spanish league president says eight to 10 matches will be fixed this season in its two professional divisions.
La Liga president Javier Tebas said through a translator at the Leaders in Football Conference in London that the fixing will involve elements of the games or the end results.
Tebas is looking to implement new regulations that would see any player or official involved in fixing banned from football for life.
A game involving Deportivo La Coruna and Levante last season is still under investigation.
