Manchester City start the new year in style with a 3-2 victory against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

Goals by Fernandinho (14th minute), Yaya Toure (58th) and Kolarov (66th) propelled City to the top of the English Premier League ahead of other clubs that started their New Year's Day matches later in the day.

Wilfried Bony's two goals - just before half-time and in the 90th minute - gave the home fans hope that they could stop fancied City in their tracks.
