Football: Lions exit Asian Cup qualifiers after 1-3 defeat by Oman

Singapore lost 1-3 against Oman in their final Asian Cup qualifier Group A match-up in Muscat last night.
The defeat means that the Lions are out of the Asian Cup, finishing last in the Group A behind Oman, Jordan and Syria. They had one win, against Syria, and five losses in the campaign.
Last night, Oman could have won by an even larger margin, had it not been for the heroics of goalkeeper Hassan Sunny, who repelled wave after wave of Omani attacks.
It was one-way traffic for Oman throughout the first half, and the Lions' resistance was finally broken after 19 minutes.
