Football: Hamburg's Aogo in hot water after jetting off to Spain
BERLIN (AFP) - Germany defender Dennis Aogo has landed himself in hot water after jetting to Mallorca for a two-day break in the wake of Hamburg's 5-1 defeat in the Bundesliga.
Hamburg were routed at home last Saturday when Brazilian forward Roberto Frimino scored two goals and set up Hoffenheim's other three, as the hosts' defence capitulated.
Hamburg coach Thorsten Fink was so furious with his players that he gave them two days off to consider where they need to improve, with his team having picked up just a point from their first two league matches.
But Aogo opted to jet off to the Spanish island for two days, although the 26-year-old insisted he met his agent and had not gone on holiday.
