MIAMI (AFP) - David Beckham says under fire Manchester United manager David Moyes is "the right man for the job" and backed him to bring success to Old Trafford.

Asked by AFP if he would consider Moyes as the boss of his new team in Miami, Beckham said he did not expect the Scot to be out of work any time soon, despite a wretched start to life as United manager.

"I am more than happy with the job he is doing there," the former United and England star said on Wednesday, Feb 05, 2014, shortly after he confirmed his intention to own a football club in Miami.

"He's a great manager. I think he's the right man for the job. He's a manager that has gone into one of the biggest jobs in the world and there was always going to be a transitional period.
