Basketball: Clippers win at home for 12th straight time
LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Los Angeles Clippers set a franchise record with their 12th straight home victory, beating the Golden State Warriors 115-89 on Saturday to open a four-game lead atop the National Basketball Association's Pacific Division.
San Antonio, Indiana and New York were among the other divisional leaders to boast victories.
Clippers star Chris Paul had 27 points and nine assists while Blake Griffin added 20 points for Los Angeles, which opened a 23-point lead through the first quarter and were untroubled in moving half a game ahead of San Antonio and Oklahoma City for the overall league lead.
Their previous best home winning streak was set in 1978-79, their first season in San Diego after the franchise left Buffalo.
