Bayern go eight points clear despite Nuremberg draw
BERLIN (AFP) - Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to eight points on Saturday as their make-shift side drew 1-1 at ten-man Nuremberg while second-placed Schalke 04 lost 2-0 at Leverkusen.
Bayern shared the points at Nuremberg despite taking the lead after only three minutes through Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic, but ex-Munich midfielder Markus Feulner levelled for the hosts just after the break with a dipping shot.
With Bayern facing a crucial Champions League clash at Valencia on Tuesday, Heynckes accepted the draw.
"We can live with 1-1, I think it's not the end of the world," he said.
