No matter what happens in Bangkok in the second leg of the Asean Football Federation Suzuki Cup final, there will be a hero's welcome for the Lions when they return home on Sunday.

Starting from 2pm, an open-top bus tour will take the Singapore squad - with or without the Suzuki Cup trophy - through the city and Orchard Road.

The end point for the tour will be the Lions' den at Jalan Besar Stadium. The Football Association of Singapore is urging fans to gather at the stadium from 3pm to greet the team.

Fans can also turn up at Changi Airport's Terminal 2 to welcome the players home. They will be arriving at 1.15pm on Singapore Airlines flight 973.

The Lions have a 3-1 advantage over Thailand from the first leg at Jalan Besar on Wednesday. The second leg will be played on Saturday at 8pm Singapore time.
