Yale-NUS College holds inauguration ceremony for its first cohort of 155 students
The Yale-NUS College held its inauguration ceremony on Tuesday morning to welcome its first cohort of 155 students.
Classes at the university - a tie-up between the American Ivy League institution Yale and the National University of Singapore (NUS) - started two weeks ago.
To mark the occasion, both parent institutions presented to Yale-NUS College a set of 50 books each, some of which are authored by the schools' alumni.
The ceremony at NUS University Cultural Centre was officiated by President Tony Tan Keng Yam, who is also NUS chancellor.
