Will and Kate have orchid named after them at Botanic Gardens
The Duke an
d Duchess of Cambridge were on Tuesday presented with an orchid named after them on their first stop on their three-day Singapore tour.
After being dropped off at the Burkhill Hall entrance, the royal couple were ushered to the National Orchid garden where National Parks Board CEO Poon Hong Yuen presented them with the Vanda William Catherine.
The orchid is a free-flowering orchid hybrid that is white and purple in colour.
They also saw the Dendrobium Memoria Princess Diana, an orchid named after the late princess Diana, and the dendrobium Queen Elizabeth II.
