Two Judicial Commissioners of High Court appointed
President Tony Tan Keng Yam appointed Mr George Wei Sze Shun and Mr Edmund Leow as Judicial Commissioners of the High Court with effect from Aug 1 and Oct 1 respectively this year. They will each serve a one-year term.
Mr Wei, 58, is an expert in intellectual properly law in Singapore and was a professor at the Singapore Management University.
Mr Leow, 50, specializes in tax and corporate law, and is the managing principal of law firm Baker & McKenzie.
With the appointments, the Supreme Court will have a total of 15 Judges and three Judicial Commissioners.
