The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Monday that a vehicle entered its front gate without proper authorisation.

The incident, which happened on Monday afternoon, occurred when the driver tailgated another vehicle.

"The situation was quickly brought under control after MFA security officers stopped the vehicle and contacted the police who then arrested the driver," the spokesperson said.

The safety and security of members of the public and MFA staff were not compromised during the incident, the spokesperson added.
