When an American failed to hand over $800 for sexual services, a transvestite took the man's credit card and went shopping.
Puteri Nur Amelia Yim, 30, pleaded guilty yesterday to cheating a cashier at Mustafa Centre by buying $2,572 worth of items with someone else's credit card.
The Singaporean was jailed for two weeks. He will start serving the sentence next Monday, so he can have time to settle personal matters. A district court heard that the 28-year-old American had approached Yim in Orchard Towers for sex at 2am on Nov 21, 2010.
Both went to a hotel in the Balestier area. Investigations indicated that Yim arrived at the store in Syed Alwi Road at about 5am.
