TRAIN services between Punggol and Little India stations on the North-East Line were disrupted for about half an hour due to a train fault.
By 5.20pm on Thursday, train services resumed but at a slower frequency.
SBS Transit said that affected commuters can opt to take free shuttle buses at designated bus stops near the affected stations as an alternative.
Commuters should also approach NEL staff for help, it said.
