He was speaking at the annual teaching scholarship presentation ceremony, where 298 scholarships and awards were given out.
Addressing the batch of new scholars, he said: "Students in the public look up to teachers to be good role models, and likewise, they expect the same - if not more - of teaching scholars and award holders."
