Student, 12, knocked down at zebra crossing outside school

A 12-year-old student was knocked down by a car at a zebra crossing outside his school on Tuesday afternoon.

The Secondary 1 student from Saint Andrew's Secondary suffered injuries to his elbow and back.

He was put under 24-hour observation, said Mr Liang Sea Fong, the school's communications liaison officer.

Mr Liang said a teacher from the school who saw the accident called an ambulance, informed the boy's parents and the school.
