Part of Siloso Beach will be blanketed with signs and bill-boards featuring common Singlish phrases as part of the tourist attraction's new project with Ms Lo.

The work will be on display for the month of August and is meant to celebrate Singapore's National Day, said a spokesman for the Sentosa Leisure Group in a statement.

Ms Lo said the collaboration was an opportunity to express her creativity freely. "What I really like about working on this project is the fact that Sentosa believes and trusts in an artist's vision."

Ms Lo sparked off a debate last year about the role of street art with her proclamations of "My Grandfather Road" stencilled on public roads and her tongue-in-cheek stickers on traffic-light buttons.

She eventually pleaded guilty to seven counts of mischief and was sentenced to 240 hours of community service and three months of Day Reporting Order, under which she had to report to a reporting centre run by the Singapore Prison Service for supervision and counselling.
