The Straits Times (ST) is in contention for several prizes at the inaugural Asian Environmental Journalism Awards.
In a shortlist released by organiser Singapore Environment Council (SEC) on Friday, ST is among six finalists for Environmental Story of the Year.
Its story - headlined 'Group told to clear 'farm' on state land' - was written by journalist Grace Chua, 27.
Published on March 10, it was about a group of Clementi residents who had pursued their passion for planting vegetables and fruit.
