SingTel fire update: Services should be restored by 6am, certain areas still affected
Services disrupted by Wednesday afternoon's fire at a SingTel building are being progressively restored and should be up and running by Thursday 6am, said a SingTel spokesman.
He added that SingTel's engineers could only start restoration work after 6pm, when the Singapore Civil Defence Force allowed them access to the area.
The fire, which broke out around 2pm along Woodlands Road, damaged 33 fibre cables and impacted 100 mobile base stations.
As a result, 60,000 fixed broadband lines, around 30,000 mio TV customers, and about 30,000 voice lines were affected.
