Single winner of $3.4m Toto jackpot

Monday night's $3.4 million Toto jackpot has gone to a lucky single winner. That makes it the largest individual win since May last year, when a single winner walked away with $3.3 million.

These winners join a rare few who have struck it so big at the popular numbers lottery. In the last three years, only three others have won more than $3 million each.

Big top prizes, which draw more punters, have tended to be shared among several winners. The $10 million jackpot in February, for instance, saw 10 winners take $1 million each.

In Toto, punters aim to match six numbers - from 1 to 45 - drawn by Singapore Pools. The top or "Group 1" prize is won by matching all six numbers. Last night's winning combination was 12, 14, 18, 23, 28 and 41. The additional number, which is required to win other prizes, was 1.
