Singapore's team of eight Paralympic athletes returned from London on Tuesday to about a hundred supporters, which included family, friends and members of the sports fraternity, at Changi Airport.
Para-equestrian rider Laurentia Tan, who took home a silver and bronze, received one of the loudest cheers of the day.
Said Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Senior Minister of State (Ministry of Defence) Chan Chun Sing: "Before I sent them off at the airport, I told them that regardless of the number of medals won, each and every one of them has a story that will inspire Singaporeans.
"I think that's exactly what they did through their exploits in London."
