Singaporeans win silver and bronze at Asian Bowling Championships

Cherie and Daphne Tan took silver and bronze respectively on Monday at the Asian Bowling Championships women's all events category in Hong Kong.

Cherie, 24 and the older sister by two years, posted a combined pinfall of 5,071 to finish behind South Korea's Kim Moon Jeong (5,108). Daphne posted a score of 5,059 pinfalls.

Both Singaporeans are also in contention in the Masters event.

Singapore have won a gold, three silvers and two bronzes so far at the championships, which end on Tuesday with the Masters event.
