The wait is over.

Anxious football fans in Singapore will get to watch Saturday's FA Community Shield, the English Premier League's traditional curtain-raiser to the season.

But the status of the broadcast of the FA Cup and England's World Cup qualifiers is still up in the air.

Negotiations for the broadcast of these games between rights holders MP & Silva and the Republic's two pay-TV providers, SingTel and StarHub, had been at an impasse earlier.
