Singapore Swimming makes Turner its technical director
Briton Ian Turner has been appointed the technical director of Singapore Swimming.
The appointment, which was revealed at a press conference today at the headquarters of the association in Toa Payoh, sees the 61-year-old responsible for overseeing the development of both the nation's top swimmers as well as local coaches.
Having arrived in Singapore two years ago, Mr Turner, who was Britain's head from 2003 to 2008, started as the director of swimming at the Singapore Swimming Club.
He has been coaching two-time Olympian Tao Li, Singapore's top female swimmer, since Oct.
