Singapore Lions raring to score with new outfit

A new look awaits the Singapore Lions later this month as they attempt to win their fourth Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup title.
Departing from the dual-tone red design of the past two years, the new national (home) jersey is a simpler one-tone red with a white band on both sleeves.
Like its predecessor, the new outfit is made of purely recycled material in line with manufacturer Nike's environmental efforts. Each kit is made of 13 recycled plastic bottles and the fabric is about 20 per cent lighter and stronger than the previous one.
However, not everyone is impressed by the $89 outfit.
