Singapore condemns mass-stabbing attacks in Kunming

Singapore on Monday strongly condemned the mass-stabbing attacks in China's southwestern city of Kunming in which 29 people were killed and over 130 injured.
"Singapore strongly condemns the violent attacks at the Kunming Train Station on the evening of 1 March 2014," said a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
"Such attacks on innocent civilians cannot be condoned or justified under any circumstances. We express our deepest condolences to the victims and their families and wish those injured a quick recovery."
There have been no reports of any Singaporeans affected in the incident thus far, MFA said, added that Singapore's Consulate-General in Guangzhou was in touch with Singaporeans in Kunming.
