Singapore and Vietnam defence dialogue underway

Buy SPH photosVIETNAM'S Deputy Minister of National Defence, Senior Lieutenant-General Nguyen Chi Vinh is co-chairing the fifth Singapore-Vietnam Defence Policy Dialogue (DPD) with Singapore's Permanent Secretary for Defence Chiang Chie Foo.
On Tuesday, Senior Lt-Gen Vinh called on Acting Minister for Social and Family Development and Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence, Chan Chun Sing.
As part of his four-day visit, which ends on Wednesday, Senior Lt-Gen Vinh will also be visiting the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps at Nee Soon Camp.
The Defence Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that both countries exchanged views on the regional security situation, and discussed bilateral defence exchanges during the defence policy dialogue.
