Singapore and Australian police sign pact

The Singapore Police Force and their Australian counterparts on Thursday signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) cooperate more in the fight against transnational crime.
Commissioner of Police Ng Joo Hee signed the MOU with Australian Federal Police Commissioner Tony Negus at the Parliament House in Canberra, Australia.
The event was witnessed by Mr Lee Hsien Loong and Ms Julia Gillard, the prime ministes of the two countries.
The agreement aims at hardwiring the cooperation between the police forces in key areas such as capacity building, information sharing and training, said the police.
