Singapore Airlines flight to Haneda on Saturday delayed due to heavy snow

At least two flights between Singapore and Haneda Airport in Tokyo have been re-timed as heavy snow hit Japan's capital on Saturday.

Singapore Airlines flight SQ634 from Singapore to Haneda has been pushed back three hours from 3.35pm to 6.35pm, said a spokesman. Flight SQ633 from Haneda to Singapore will subsequently be delayed due to the late arrival of SQ634.

SQ635 to Haneda and SQ636 from there, as well as all SQ flights to Narita, are currently on schedule, he added. Narita airport is in Chiba Prefecture, about 60km outside Tokyo.

Japan's weather agency has issued a heavy snow warning, with up to 20cm of snow expected on Saturday. The winter storm has grounded flights and halted some train services.
