A security officer was jailed for five weeks on Monday for punching a taxi driver several times in his face.

Yeo Lye Woo, 48, pleaded guilty to causing hurt to Mr Sim Kiang Seck, at the POSBank at Block 290 Yishun Street 22 on June 24 this year.

A court heard that the Mr Sim, 53, drove Yeo in the cab from Northpoint Shopping Centre to Block 290 Yishun Street 22.

Upon reaching the destination, Yeo told the cabby to wait for him at a carpark behind the block. He had left his personal bag in the taxi.
