Second man jailed for underage sex with drunk girl at *Scape skate park

A man who had sex with two underage girls on separate occasions was jailed for 27 months on Monday.

Part-time waiter Ryan Nicholas Shah, 27, pleaded guilty to having sex with a drunk 15-year-old girl in July 2012, and a 14-year-old girl at his flat in Bedok Reservoir Road in August 2011.

He is the second man to be jailed for having underage sex with the 15-year-old girl at *Scape skate park. The other accused, Muhammad Hairuniezam Marwi, 24, is serving seven months' jail after admitting to having oral sex with her.

A district court heard that the girl had joined a group of people, including Shah and Hairuniezam, at *Scape on July 9, 2012 and was drinking alcoholic cocktails with them.

Subsequently, Shah and the girl, who was drunk by then, went behind one of the walls to relieve themselves.

Shortly after that, Shah asked the girl to perform sexual acts on him which she did.

While they were having sex, Hairuniezam came along and requested the girl to perform oral sex for him, and she agreed to it.

Later, Hairuniezam left while the girl and Shah carried on their sexual activity. The two men subsequently sent her home in a cab.

The girl's mother found out what had happened and called the police.

In the earlier incident, the court heard that Shah met the 14-year-old at *Scape through a mutual friend. They entered into a relationship in May 2011

Shah had invited the girl to his home on several occasions, and they often had oral sex.

In August that year, while the girl was there, Shah asked her if he could have sex with her but she was hesitant. He persisted and went ahead despite her reluctance. It was the first time that she had sexual intercourse.

The pair also had sex at her home on numerous occasions.

When she wanted to break off with him in early 2012, he refused and continued to ask her for sex. As a result of her sexual activities with Shah, the victim sought help from a psychologist who diagnosed her with chronic post-traumatic stress disorder.

Shah could have been jailed for up to 10 years and/or fined on each of the three charges proceeded against him.
