Science Centre unveils $29m revamp in 5-year roadmap
The 35-year-old Science Centre will spend $29 million to reinvent itself to keep up with the times.
It unveiled a five-year road map on Tuesday night which includes building a digital planetarium, a virtual aquarium, a city gallery, a children science centre, and a space academy.
Calling it a "milestone check", the centre's chief executive officer Lim Tit Meng told The Straits Times the plans were necessary for the institution to stay relevant.
"Science and technology is progressing rapidly and there is a need to keep up with newer attractions," said Associate Professor Lim ahead of a partner appreciation dinner on Tuesday.
