The body of the Singapore angler, who went missing during a weekend boating accident in Malaysia, has been found at sea on Tuesday morning.

Mr Chen Wan Seng fell overboard when the boat he was on collided with a larger fishing trawler on Sunday.

The 47-year-old was apparently seated at the back of the boat during the collision, which took place off the waters of a port in Rompin, Pahang.

Rompin village chief Mohammad Razak Daud told The Straits Times on Tuesday morning that Mr Chen's body was found at 11am floating near the accident site, about 9km off the Tanjong Gemok jetty.
