Bigger on content, and sleeker on visuals. This is the new look that bilingual freesheet My Paper will take on from next month, after a revamp in design and content that has been in the works since late last year.

The revamped paper will focus on areas in which professionals have a special interest, said its English section editor Yeow Kai Chai. "We are beefing up some sections of the paper to give readers the coverage they have asked for," he said yesterday at the trade launch event at Asia Square Tower 1.

For example, the revamped sports section will "do sports in a different way". It will cover more of activities such as mixed martial arts and yoga, he said. The changes are being made to increase the paper's visual appeal and relevance to readers.

Visually, bolder fonts and more striking colours will be used. Content-wise, the paper will have much more than the current 40 pages, with more content for existing sections.
