Refreshed "Singapore Silver Pages" portal for seniors and their caregivers
An updated webpage for seniors and their caregivers was launched on Sunday by the Health Ministry's Agency for Integrated Care, featuring health information, social resources and even elderly-friendly features like one that reads the webpage aloud.
The Singapore Silver Pages, at www.silverpages.sg, was first launched in 2011, but has been updated with features such as recipes, videos and contests to attract a younger audience and provide more information on programmes and services for those taking care of aged family members.
For instance, it provides comprehensive information on grants for caregivers' courses, grants to offset the cost of hiring domestic help, and temporary nursing-home stay schemes.
Minister of State for Health Amy Khor launched the Singapore Silver Pages at a Bukit Batok carnival organised by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and South West Community Development Council.
