My Waterway@Punggol has clinched an international gold award for the Housing Board.

The 4.2km man-made river, which opened last October, meanders through Punggol.

The honour is under the Project Built segment in the 2012 International Award for Liveable Communities. It is conferred by the LivCom Management Company and endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme, and aims to recognise best practices in the management of local environments.

The award follows other accolades this year, including the FIABCI Singapore Property Award in October, the Global Superior Achievement Award by the International Water Association in August, and the Grand Prize for Excellence by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers in April.
