Public feedback on population issues pouring in
Over 1,400 replies on issues like birth rate, immigration, creating jobs

From complaints about overcrowding to ideas on how to help new immigrants integrate, Singaporeans have been giving their feedback on population issues.
More than 1,400 replies have been received since the Government sought the public's views about a month ago.
Research manager Germin Ong said he thought Singapore could support a larger population, but infrastructure such as transport and housing must be ramped up ahead of any increase.
The 32-year-old added that he saw community groups as an important tool to help newcomers bond with Singaporeans.
