National water agency PUB is clearing up a stretch of white foam that has been left floating in a Choa Chu Kang canal since Monday night.

The foam is believed to have been used to put out a big fire which broke out at a warehouse at 800 Upper Bukit Timah Road on Monday night.

PUB said its officers are monitoring the water quality in the canal closely but has stopped the pumping of water from Pang Sua canal that would otherwise be treated for consumption until the foam has been completely cleared.

Pang Sua Canal runs from Bukit Panjang to Stagmont Ring Road and Choa Chu Kang North, and drains into Kranji Reservoir.
