The Proclaimers, who are Scottish twins Charles and Craig Reid, performed a pleasantly refreshing hour-long set at the Esplanade Waterfront stage on Sunday evening.
The band, who made waves in the 1980s with their hit song I'm Gonna Be (500 miles), were energetic and vibrant, with the Reid brothers showing they still have the vocal chops to wow the crowd.
The duo had good vocal harmonising on songs such as Letter From America and Let's Get Married, which had the audience - mostly expatriates and tourists - singing along and clapping their hands.
Playing against the backdrop of the setting sun, the gem of the evening was their closing song, I'm Gonna Be, which got the entire crowd standing and jumping to the beat.
