This year's President's Challenge was launched with a $1.5 million donation from Keppel Care Foundation, a registered charity related to Keppel Corporation.

Keppel Corporation also pledged 5,000 hours of community service and company employees will mentor nominees of this year's President's Challenge Social Enterprise Award.

Keppel Corporation chief executive Choo Chiau Beng said at the launch event on Friday: "As President's Challenge has gone beyond the giving of money to the giving of time and the imparting of skills...Keppel is likewise doing the same for worthy causes."

As part of the launch some 20 beneficiaries from Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore) and Teen Challenge (Singapore) toured the Keppel Offshore & Marine yard on Friday. President Tony Tan Keng Yam was the guest of honour at the event.
