A 41-year-old male was arrested by police yesterday for his suspected involvement in loanshark harassment activities.

This includes splashing paint and scrawling graffiti on the wall of a block of flats near Serangoon Central, the police said in a statement yesterday. A neighbour had alerted the police to the suspect's actions.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division found on the suspect a handphone containing various photos of housing units which were splashed with paint.

Police also said that preliminary investigations show that the suspect is believed to have committed multiple loanshark harassments at Rivervale, Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon, Tampines and Woodlands housing estates.
