BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrives in Brunei on Monday for a three-day visit to reaffirm the close ties between the two countries and discuss areas of cooperation.

His visit is at the invitation of Brunei's head of state, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. The trip follows high-level visits from Brunei, including by the Sultan and Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah earlier this year, the Prime Minister's Office said yesterday.

Noting that Brunei and Singapore enjoy excellent relations, the Prime Minister's Office said Mr Lee and the Sultan will discuss how to broaden and further deepen bilateral cooperation.

"Discussions are also expected to cover regional and international developments, particularly developments in Asean," it added.
