The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) marked the completion of its third and final mega $380 million campus at Ang Mo Kio yesterday. To dispel the perception of ITE as a “dingy workshop”, the shopping mall-like campus opens to the public, with commercial F&B and retail outlets, a supermarket, and student-run hairdressing and retail services.
Facilities such as an aircraft hangar housing a Boeing 737 jet and a corporate Learjet, a marine lifeboat, and a simulated childcare classroom, will let students learn from hands-on experiences.
