It was a colourful experience for some 70,000 runners at Sunday morning's Safra Singapore Bay Run and Army Half Marathon, with the event taking them past the newly-opened Gardens By The Bay for the first time.
Jointly organised by Safra and the Army, the run kicked off at 5.15am. The new running route offered runners a different sensory experience, with lighted Supertrees, illuminated distance markers and glow-in-the-dark wristbands setting this year's event apart from previous years.
