Pay raise of up to $400 for SMRT bus drivers

Operator SMRT will increase the pay of its bus drivers.

In a news release on Monday, SMRT said its latest enhanced salary package will raise the basic salaries of all its Singaporean, permanent resident and foreign bus drivers.

SMRT had increased the salaries of its drivers by a range of $75 to $250 in July, but also adjusted their work week from five to six days.

Taking into account this latest salary enhancement, Singaporean bus drivers will see their pay go up by up to $400. PR and foreign drivers will see their pay increase by up to $175.
