Parts of NUS campus flooded after heavy morning showers at Kent Ridge area
Heavy rain in the morning caused heavy flooding at some parts of the National University of Singapore (NUS) campus on Thursday.
The Straits Times understands that the science and engineering faculties were among the buildings affected. At the science faculty blocks, water reached knee-level and even cascaded off higher-tier floors into the basement. Staff working at the engineering faculty said the water level was at least ankle-deep.
A photograph of students clinging on to a fence to avoid a flooded section of their school has also been making its rounds on the Internet. It is understood that the picture was taken at Fairfield Methodist Secondary.
