Laurentia Tan capped a celebration for Singapore's eight Paralympians on Saturday at the Gardens by the Bay.

The 33-year-old, who won a silver and a bronze medal at the recent Paralympics in London, was with her two para-equestrian teammates - Gemma Rose Foo, 16, and Maximillian Tan, 25. They were cheered by some 150 supporters as they rode into the garden.

Singapore's other Paralympians were driven on buggies while boccia player Nurulasyiqah Mohammad Taha came in her wheelchair.

They met members of the public as well as MCYS Acting Minister Chan Chun Sing and Senior Minister of State for Education, and Information, Communications and the Arts Lawrence Wong.
