Pahang beat LionsXII 2-1, Sundram insists 'it's not over'

KUANTAN - He remained defiant, even as 25,000 Pahang fans celebrated as though they had already won the Malaysia Cup. "It's not over," V. Sundramoorthy insisted.

The LionsXII coach's side have 90 minutes next Tuesday to overcome the 1-2 loss they suffered in Tuesday night's first leg of their quarter-final at the Darulmakmur Stadium.

But if they learnt one thing, it is that the Malaysia Cup is a different kettle of fish from the Malaysian Super League, in which the Singapore outfit finished second.

From the moment the teams took to the field and stood at attention for the Singapore national anthem, right up to the scenes of the home side celebrating after the final whistle, one message was clear to the LionsXII: You are in our backyard.
