When it comes to starting a family and raising children, the amount of information can be overwhelming.

To cut through the clutter, the People's Association (PA) will set up information resource points at community centres and form parent support groups across all Group Representation Constituencies by next year.

The resource centres will include information on locations of nearby pediatricians and childcare centres, local nannies and fertility tips, said PA chief executive director Ang Hak Seng. Websites will also be set up.

"It helps very busy parents to, in one location and at one shot, get as much information as they can about the types of services in the community," said Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Grace Fu, who oversees population issues.
